Privacy

Dali Classroom Privacy Policy.

Dali Classroom helps students follow and review classes with live transcription, optional translation, summaries, notes, and private course history.

Effective date: August 30, 2026

Developer and scope

This policy explains how Dalifin LLC accesses, uses, stores, and shares information when you use Dali Classroom. For privacy questions or data requests, contact gli@dalifin.com.

Information Dali Classroom processes

  • Account information, such as email address, profile information, sign-in state, and account preferences.
  • Course and class information, such as course names, subjects, optional context, class titles, dates, and organization or archive choices.
  • Microphone audio during an active class, plus transcripts, translations, summaries, and notes needed to provide the features the student requests.
  • App, device, network, usage, diagnostic, security, and crash information needed to operate, protect, troubleshoot, and support the service.
  • Entitlement, subscription, usage-limit, and store-transaction evidence needed to provide and manage paid Classroom access.

Live audio and AI processing

Dali Classroom accesses the microphone only when the student starts an active class and grants microphone permission. Source audio is transmitted to Dalifin services and an authorized AI provider to produce the requested transcript and, when enabled, translation and summary text.

Dalifin does not save source audio in its Classroom databases, files, object storage, or class history. Audio is held only transiently while live processing, retry, and recovery are in progress. Transcript, translation, summary, and note text may be saved to the student's private Classroom history.

Classroom currently uses Google Gemini for supported AI processing and may use OpenAI as a controlled provider or fallback. Provider processing is limited to delivering the requested Classroom function and is subject to the provider's security and data-handling terms.

How Dali Classroom uses information

  • Authenticate the student and keep Classroom content private to the signed-in account.
  • Provide live transcription, optional translation, summaries, notes, course organization, and class-history review.
  • Apply plan limits, verify purchases, restore entitlements, and show account usage.
  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the app and its supporting services.
  • Respond to support, privacy, billing, and legal requests and prevent fraud or misuse.

Storage, ownership, and sharing

Saved courses, classes, transcripts, translations, summaries, and notes are private, student-owned Classroom content. Classroom does not provide public discovery, public sharing, advertising profiles, or sale of this content.

Dalifin may use hosting, email, security, and AI service providers only as needed to operate Classroom. Google Play, Apple, or another authorized store processes purchases. Dalifin may receive transaction-verification data and entitlement status but does not receive payment-card details. Dalifin does not sell personal information.

Retention, deletion, and user controls

Saved Classroom text remains available until the student deletes the applicable class, course, or Classroom content, subject to limited backup, security, fraud-prevention, transaction, and legal retention. Transient recovery data expires after its short operational retention period.

A student can delete Classroom content while preserving the shared Dali identity and other Dali services. A separate password-confirmed choice deletes Classroom content and disables the shared Dali account, which affects access to other Dali products. Some security, transaction, fraud-prevention, or legal records may need to be retained.

Students can stop microphone processing by pausing or ending a class, deny or revoke microphone permission in device settings, sign out, or contact Dalifin to request access, correction, or deletion.

Permissions and responsible use

Classroom requires microphone permission for live transcription. It does not require location, contacts, advertising identifiers, or background microphone access for its Classroom features.

The student is responsible for following school rules and applicable recording, consent, privacy, and copyright requirements when using Classroom. Installing the app does not itself grant permission to capture a class.

Security

Dalifin uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information handled by Dali Classroom, including private application storage, secure operating-system storage where appropriate, HTTPS for network requests, and access controls for Dalifin services. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.

Children

Dali Classroom is not directed to children under 13, and Dalifin does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this app. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.

Changes and contact

Dalifin may update this policy when Dali Classroom changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. For questions, access requests, or deletion requests, email gli@dalifin.com.
