Developer and scope

This policy explains how Dalifin LLC accesses, uses, stores, and shares information when you use Dali Scribe. For privacy questions or data requests, contact gli@dalifin.com.

Information Dali Scribe processes

• Account information, such as email address, profile information, sign-in state, and account preferences.
• Microphone audio during an active recording and the transcript produced from that audio.
• Session information stored on the device, including titles, transcripts, summaries, notes, and export preferences.
• App, device, network, usage, diagnostic, security, and crash information needed to operate, protect, troubleshoot, and support the service.
• Entitlement, subscription, usage-limit, and store-transaction evidence needed to provide and manage Free, pass, and paid Scribe access.

Live audio and AI processing

Dali Scribe accesses the microphone only when the user starts an active recording and grants microphone permission. Source audio is transmitted to Dalifin services and an authorized AI provider to produce the requested transcript.

Dalifin does not save source audio in its account databases, files, object storage, or server-side session history. Audio may be buffered temporarily on the user's device for reliable delivery and is held only transiently by the services while processing, retry, and recovery are in progress.

When the user requests a summary, Dali Scribe sends the relevant transcript and notes, together with the selected summary instructions, to Dalifin services and an authorized AI provider. The resulting summary is returned to the app and stored with the session on the user's device.

How Dali Scribe uses information

• Authenticate the user and manage account access and preferences.
• Provide live transcription, summaries, notes, private session history, search, and user-requested exports.
• Apply plan and session limits, verify purchases, restore entitlements, and show account usage.
• Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the app and its supporting services.
• Respond to support, privacy, billing, and legal requests and prevent fraud or misuse.

Storage, exports, service providers, and sharing

Session titles, transcripts, summaries, and notes are stored primarily in the app's private storage on the user's device. Scribe does not provide public discovery, advertising profiles, or sale of this content.

When the user exports or shares a session, the selected content is provided to the destination the user chooses. Exported copies are then handled by the recipient, app, or storage service under its own terms and privacy practices.

Dalifin may use hosting, security, communications, and AI service providers only as needed to operate Scribe. Google Play, Apple, or another authorized store processes purchases. Dalifin may receive transaction-verification data and entitlement status but does not receive payment-card details. Dalifin does not sell personal information.

Retention, deletion, and user controls

Saved sessions remain on the user's device until the user deletes them, clears the app's data, or uninstalls the app. Temporary device audio buffers are removed after successful delivery or cleanup. Transient service data expires after its short operational retention period.

Users can stop microphone processing by pausing or ending a recording, deny or revoke microphone permission in device settings, delete local sessions, sign out, or contact Dalifin to request access, correction, or deletion of account information.

Some security, transaction, entitlement, fraud-prevention, backup, or legal records may need to be retained for a limited period.

Permissions and responsible use

Scribe requires microphone permission for live transcription. It does not require location, contacts, advertising identifiers, or background microphone access for its Scribe features.

The user is responsible for obtaining any required permission and following applicable recording, consent, privacy, confidentiality, and copyright requirements. Installing the app does not itself grant permission to record another person or protected material.

Security

Dalifin uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information handled by Dali Scribe, including private application storage, secure operating-system storage where appropriate, HTTPS for network requests, and access controls for Dalifin services. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.

Children

Dali Scribe is not directed to children under 13, and Dalifin does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this app. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.

Changes and contact

Dalifin may update this policy when Dali Scribe changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. For questions, access requests, or deletion requests, email gli@dalifin.com.
